The investigation of interval technique arising in the context of the spectral stochastic finite element method (SSFEM) is inspired by the substantial effect produced by unavoidable different types of uncertainties on structural behaviour. This paper presents the study on non-deterministic problems of structures with random field and interval parameters under uncertain-but-bounded forces. Interval approaches are integrated into SSFEM to handle the mixed uncertainties from structural parameters and loads. The probabilistic framework is extended to account for interval forces. Mean value and standard deviation of the random interval structural responses are not deterministic values but intervals. Quasi-Monte Carlo method is incorporated with SSFEM to define the change ranges of statistical moments of the structural responses. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method are illustrated by numerical examples.
