Photogrammetry has rapidly evolved over the past couple of decades, as a non-obtrusive measurement technique with widespread applications in the metrology of structural elements and systems both in real-life situations and in the laboratory. This paper promotes attractive attributes of this measurement technique in applications driven by the author in three wide-varying applications: the structural performance of Australia‟s newest iconic structure at Federation Square; a typical application on a beam structure tested to failure in a Structures laboratory and as the basis of performing metrology in the newly created TechnoLab™ series of home-laboratory test frames developed by the author for the teaching of basic and structural mechanics.
