This paper outlines the applicability of photogrammetry and image processing techniques for monitoring the behaviour of concrete structures. Particular attention is devoted to the assessment of displacement and strain fields, as well as other parameters relevant to concrete members, such as cracking and curvature in flexural members. A push-off specimen and a lightweight high-strength concrete beam under flexural loading are selected as case studies in the application of the proposed method. The accuracy of the proposed approach is discussed considering measurements carried out with different techniques.
