Abstract

One major area of concern regarding the decentraliaation of the labour market, through the introduction of enterprise bargaining, has been equity. It has been argued that the process of enterprise bargaining is likely to discriminate against the more marginaliaed members of the workforce. This article examines the level of awareness amongst Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people regarding the issues of enterprise bargaining and their level of enthusiasm for the process. The article also suggests some possible bargaining outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
