Aims & Scope

The Journal of Economic and Social Policy (JESP) is a DEST recognised refereed journal. The Journal is indexed in APAIS, EconLit and Informit. It is also listed in DOAJ Open Access Directory. Material submitted for publication will be reviewed through the double blind peer review process, in accordance with the HERDC.

The Journal of Economic and Social Policy is committed to encouraging and providing a forum for debate on matters of public policy with articles written in a style that will cater to a diverse readership. Articles may discuss particular social and economic issues, review conceptual problems, present empirical reports or debate policy initiatives. Articles must address policy issues relevant to the articles topic. Discussion must be conceptually competent in one or more disciplinary fields, and must also be readable across disciplinary boundaries. Length should be between 5,000 to 7,000 words.

It will be understood that material submitted for possible publication in JESP has not been simultaneously submitted elsewhere. Final decision on acceptance for publication will rest with the editors of JESP.

Open Access-policy

JESP is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition of open access which can be accessed at this link http://www.soros.org/openaccess/read.shtml.
