Abstract

ARTIST STATEMENT Practices of collection and taxonomy and the fora in which ‘truth’ claims are made are explored in this work. Phenomenological correspondences between sound / silence and mass / void are used to question how materials are named and materiality is practiced. This project was both in response to and arose from, previous PhD research.
